Pack 205 is a Cub Scout Unit located in Newark, Delaware. We were first chartered by St. John – Holy Angels Church in 1958. We regularly meet at Holy Angels Fremont Hall located at 82 Possum Park Road. Although we hold our meetings and events at our chartered organization, our cubs come from many different elementary schools in the area.
We welcome children from Kindergarten to Fifth grade into our Pack. Each grade level fits into their own Den (Lions, Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos, and Arrow of Light). Once they complete their Arrow of Light rank we help the children choose a BSA Scout Troop that is the best fit for them.
Every year we plan on many activities such as two weekend camp outs, a pinewood derby race, pancake breakfast, and community service projects to name a few. Pack night is held each month during the school year and teaches scout skills as well as recognizes individual scouts during the presentation of awards. The scout year celebrates the achievements of all of our cubs at the Blue and Gold banquet and then at the year end Crossover ceremony.
We are made up of many Volunteers that are trained and work with your children in learning the Scout Oath and Scout Law and helping them live those principals. You can read more about the benefits of Cub Scouts on the “Why Join Scouting?” page. We believe in the values of scouting and want to improve the lives of not only your children, but ours as well. Our goal is to provide a quality program that encourages each Cub Scout to continue on to Scouts BSA and motivates each parent to be a part of Scouting.
